Webinar - Breaking Down TSA’s Cybersecurity Requirements for Pipeline Operators: What to Do Now

Watch Webinar Recording

On May 27, 2021, the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Transportation Security Administration (TSA) issued new cybersecurity requirements for critical pipeline owners and operators. According to DHS, this Security Directive requires critical pipeline owners and operators to complete a Pipeline Cybersecurity Vulnerability Self-Assessment within 30 days. The Directive also requires pipeline companies to report confirmed and potential cybersecurity incidents to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and to designate a Cybersecurity Coordinator who should be available 24/7.

In this webinar, we will analyze what pipeline operators should do now to deal with this new Security Directive and satisfy TSA’s Pipeline Security Guidelines, including:

  • What to consider while completing the Pipeline Cybersecurity Vulnerability Self-Assessment
  • The 5 foundational cybersecurity controls that every framework and standard share
  • Which milestones pipeline operators should meet over the next 30, 60 and 90 days
  • How to jumpstart an effective cybersecurity program
