The Industrial Defender Console forms the heart of Industrial Defender's control system security management product. It aggregates all the information from Guards, HIDS, NIDS and third party firewalls such as Cisco to provide a comprehensive overview of the security status and performance of the control system. Monitoring a wide variety of parameters inside the control network perimeter is the most effective way to detect and defend against external threats and insider acts that can accidentally or maliciously impact the control system.
The console includes a data repository to store the information it receives. Historical data is captured and used to generate trend graphs, reports and other data analysis functions. Alarm limits are tuned for normal operating conditions so that alarms are generated only for incidents that require further investigation. Event notifications are sent by email or pager to control network administrators. Secure remote access to the console data repository and reports is available via any web browser.
